Andrew Thorby has worked in Motorsports for thirty years. In that time his designs have won Constructors' and Drivers' Championships, and he has designed some of the most ground-breaking cars in recent history.

In 1974, Thorby joined Specialised Mouldings Ltd. of Huntingdon, England, who were at that time the leading suppliers of composite components to motorsports.

In 1983 he established Amzel. Since then, he has been involved as Designer or Race Engineer in almost every category of motor racing, from Formula Ford to Formula 1.

This website details Amzel's project history, with pictures and analyses by Andrew Thorby of some of the projects. Eventually, all the major projects will be covered, so please check back regularly.
